QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has expressed dismay over the poor state of cleanliness and non-availability of the medicines in Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, Quetta.
He issued standing directives to the concerned authorities to improve the cleanliness situation and healthcare facilities for the patients in hospital.
He also directed to establish more counters in Out patient departments of the hospital.
The caretaker Chief Minister was on surprise visit to the BMC Hospital on Tuesday morning. During the visit, he visited different sections of the hospital including OPDs and inspected the facilities being provided to the patients there.
Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Chief Minister asserted that absence of the doctors and other medical staff would not be tolerated in the hospitals. He said that there is no political pressure on him, which otherwise affects functioning and performance of the institutions.
He also urged the doctors and medical staff to behave kindly with the patients approaching them for treatment.
Meanwhile, the caretaker Chief Minister was briefed by the Medical Superintendent of BMC Hospital about its overall performance.
He also inquired about the problems being faced by the patients. He announced to bear expenditures of medical treatment of a cancer patient.
He asserted that it is included in top priority of the caretaker government to resolve the issues of hospitals.
He announced that he can visit any government hospital, school, police station or other institution anytime.
He issued standing directives to all departments to go for improvement. He said that on the sport action would be taken against the responsible officers on finding any weakness in any department.
