SC disposes of NAB petition seeking cancellation of Maryam bail

ISLAMABAD (Online): Supreme Court (SC) has wrapped up NAB petition seeking revocation of bail of PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz being withdrawn by anti- graft watchdog.

NAB plea came up for hearing before A 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial Tuesday.

NAB withdrew petition against Maryam Nawaz and the court dismissed the plea.

NAB filed written reply in the court in the case.

CJP directed NAB Prosecutor to read out written reply .

NAB prosecutor told the court case related to Maryam Nawaz remained no more maintainable following NAB amendments. Please wrap up the petition instead of dismissing it.

The CJP inquired that if you deal with the petition, you will like it.

The court while rejecting NAB petition wrapped up the case.

It is pertinent to mention that Maryam Nawaz is charged with accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income in Shamim Sugar Mills case.

NAB had filed plea seeking cancellation of bail of Maryam Nawaz in Shamim Sugar Mills case.
