Caretaker Chief Minister inaugurates Monsoon tree plantation campaign by planting Quetta Pine sapling

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki inaugurated the Monsoon tree plantation campaign in the province on Wednesday.

He planted the sapling of Quetta pine in the Chief Minister’s secretariat marking launch of the campaign all over the province.

Also present were the Secretary Forests Department, Noor Muhammad Pirkani and other concerned high ups.

Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Chief Minister said that planting a tree is a sadqa-e-jaria.

He said that the challenges of climate change can be coped with through tree plantation.

He stressed that we have to ensure protection and increase of forests ll over the province.

He directed to the concerned high ups to create necessary awareness among general public about taking part in the tree plantation campaign.

He also said that it is necessary to look after and care the plants after their plantation.

Earlier, the caretaker Chief Minister was informed that some 400,000 trees would be planted on Wednesday all over the province.

Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan also planted a sapling in the civil secretariat the same morning.

Also present on the occasion were the Secretary Forests, Noor Muhammad Pirkani, Secretary S&GAD, Babar Khan besides others.

The Chief Secretary stressed the need to take part in the tree plantation campaign wholeheartedly. He said that tree plantation is very important for keeping the environment clean.
