Caretaker CM directs concerned high ups to provide peaceful environment for free, fair elections in Balochistan

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The  caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has stated that it is main job of the caretaker government to provide peaceful environment for the free and fair elections in the province.

He directed the concerned authorities to take practical steps for providing base to conduct free and fair elections in peaceful environment.

These directives were issued by the caretaker Chief Minister while chairing a high level meeting held about the overall functioning of Home and Tribal Affairs Department, here on Wednesday.

The Provincial Minister for Home, Captain (Retd) Zubair Jamali, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Inspector General of Police, Abdul Khalique Sheikh and other concerned senior officials were present in the meeting.

The meeting was briefed about departmental affairs of the Home and Tribal Affairs department besides coordination of the department with other departments and their functions.

The meeting was also briefed about the performance of police force and its special units.

Speaking on the occasion, Mir Ali Mardan Domki said that it is job of the interim government to provide peaceful environment for conducting the elections in transparent manner.

For the purpose, it is necessary for the Home department to perform better, adding he stressed.
