QUETTA (6 AM Report): The 4th board meeting of the Balochistan Commission on Status of Women (BCSW) was held with its chairperson, Ms. Fauzia Shaheen in the chair here on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by the members of BCSW and representatives of concerned departments. The Advisor to Chief Minister for Women development and Social Welfare, Ms. Shahina Khan also participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the related matters about the BCSW and its objectives.
Addressing the meeting, Chairperson of BCSW said that the commission was formed in 2017 with the aim to frame policies for rights of the women and getting them implemented.
She said that strategic plan of the commission has been chalked out with the UNDP for next three years. Under the project, it has been attempted to share the act of BCSW and its salient features. Meanwhile, the meeting approved the minutes of board meeting.
In the end, the caretaker Advisor for women development and Social Welfare was congratulated and presented a bouquet of flowers.
