PMA announces boycott of medical services in govt hospitals from today
Torture of security guards of Trauma Center:
QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has announced to observe boycott of the services in the government hospitals in Quetta and other parts of the province from today (Friday).
The boycott would be observed against the alleged torture of the private guards of Advisor to caretaker Chief Minister for Mines, Umair Muhammad Hassani on the medical staff and security guards of Trauma Center of the civil hospital on Thursday, as announced by the General Secretary of PMA, Dr. Aftab Kakar.
According to the PMA’s senior official, the guards of Umair Muhammad Hassani attacked and tortured the medical staff and guards of the Trauma Center while he (Umair) was also present on the occasion.
They also harassed the staff at Trauma Center and created panic, Dr. Aftab and other staff present on the duty alleged.
On this uncalled for misbehavior, the PMA has announced to observe strike in the hospitals, and if no action was taken against the Advisor and his guards, the services would remain suspended in the hospitals, the PMA leader announced.
