Maintains journalists of Balochistan have seen very tough time; says Govt. has been focusing their welfare under leadership of Ali Mardan Khan Domki
QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai visited the Quetta Press Club on Saturday.
The President Quetta Press Club, Abdul Khaliq Rind along with other senior journalists welcomed Jan Achakzai upon his arrival at the Club.
Also present on the occasion were the former President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, Shahzada Zulfiqar, besides other office bearers and senior journalists.
During the visit, the Information Minister inspected different sections of the Quetta Press Club. The President Abdul Khaliq Rind informed the Information Minister about the issues and hardships being faced by the working journalists.
Speaking on the occasion, Jan Achakzai assured that every possible steps would be taken to resolve the issues of journalists besides for their welfare under leadership of the caretaker Chief Minister, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki.
He said that journalists happen to be eyes and ears of the society and they can play remarkable role in revival of the society by doing positive reporting.
Jan Achakzai said that media persons of Balochistan have seen very difficult time and they have highlighted the issues of general public and their areas quite efficiently and dedicatedly. The interim provincial government acknowledges and appreciates their endeavours in this regard, the caretaker Information Minister maintained.
He assured that our government has especially been focusing on welfare of the Press Club and those associated with it.
He on the occasion also said that conducting peaceful elections is task of interim government, for every possible steps are being taken. In addition to this, it is also out top priority to resolve issues of the remote areas, he maintained.
Meanwhile, the Interim Minister also visited the Media Academy and inspected its different parts.
