Governor calls for preparing compact strategy to overcome issues related to climate change in country

Sardar Naseer Tareen Conservation Awards:

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has stated that it is not possible to find out sustainable solution to the collective nature problems.

He stressed the need to prepare a comprehensive policy for overcoming the climate change. In addition to this, there is a dire need to plant maximum trees in the fields and on mountains of the province to achieve the goal of “Green and Clean” Balochistan.

This and similar other views were expressed by the Governor Balochistan while addressing the ceremony in connection with Sardar Naseer Tareen Conservation Award arranged at the Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP)  here the other day.

It may be mentioned here that Sardar Naseer Tareen Conservation Award was arranged with cooperation of BRSP and Centre for Peace and Development.

Also present on the occasion were the chief of BRSP, Tahir Rasheed, Nadir Gul Baraich, Malik Saleem Kasi, Mrs. Roshan Khursheed Bharucha, Nawabzada Mehboob Jogezai, Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, provincial administrative secretaries and people from development sectors.

The Governor highly appreciated the services of Sardar Naseer Khan Tareen saying that the small sapling planted by him (Sardar Tareen) for conservation of the environment and wildline has now grown up as a long strong tree.

He said that the late Sardar Naseer Tareen is a very prominent name for ensuring the basic facilities in backward rural areas of the province, and his services would be remembered for long.

He said that it is a healthy tradition to acknowledge the services of Sardar Naseer Tareen and attribute conservation award in his name.

The Governor also said that it is our collective responsibility to protect the old trees along with care of the plants already planted.

He on the occasion particularly referred Governor House which has played pivotal role for protection of environment for last 150 years.

He said that we are taking special steps for preservation of thousands of plants and protection of brids at the Governor House.

In the end, the Governor distributed Sardar Naseer Tareen conservation awards among those made tremendous contribution in the field of environmental and wildlife protection.
