QUETTA(6AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki handed over the modern software consisting of more than 60 features to the Home Department here on Thursday.
The modern GIS based software for inventory and crime reporting was handed over to the caretaker Provincial Minister for Home, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Zubair Jamali by the Chief Minister.
The software has been prepared by the Chief Minister Delivery Unit (CMDU) exclusively for the Balochistan Levies Force that has the features about the available arms and ammunition in the Levies thanas, other equipment and goods, attendance of the force, crime reporting, etc.
While briefing about the software by the CMDU to Chief Minister, it was informed that the software has been developed on request of the Director General Levies.
It was also informed that the CMDU team would impart necessary training to the concerned staff in the offices of Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners besides the clerical staff of the Levies force.
More features can also be included in the software as per the requirements in future, it was informed further.
Speaking on occasion, the caretaker Chief Minister appreciated the endeavours of CMDU and the modern software is consisted of the multipurpose informative features in which the complete data of the available resources and steps taken for the crime reporting would be centralized at the district and tehsil level.
He also directed to take result oriented steps for improving governance through effective coordination among all the departments using the modern software and information technology.
In addition to this, he also directed to introduce the IT system of equal nature for issuance of local and domicile certificates all over the province, the caretaker Chief Minister further directed.
Also present on the occasion were the Additional Chief Secretary Home, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Secretary IT Department, Abdul Fatah Bhangar and Principal Secretary to CM, Lal Jan Jaffar.
