ISLAMABAD (Online): Judge official secret act court has sought explanation from Attock jail superintendent for not arranging PTI Chairman imran Khan talks to his sons on telephone and whatsapp.
The contempt of court petition against superintendent Attock Jail for not arranging PTI chairman Imran Khan talks on telephone and whatsapp to his sons came up for hearing in official secret act court Monday.
Shiraz Ahmad Ranjha, counsel for PTI chairman appeared in the court.
He took the plea PTI chairman is not convicted in cipher case. He is in Attock jail on judicial remand. Secret act or Punjab jail law apply to the criminals.
The counsel for the petitioner said Chairman PTI is not criminal in cipher case so far. Punjab prisoners laws apply to convicted criminals. Facility of telephonic meeting in Attock jail is available to all accused. .
Counsel for PTI said facility of telephonic talks have been provided to all prisoners since two to three years. But not arranging telephonic talks of chairman PTI to his sons is injustice.
The counsel Shiraz Ranjha requested the court to initiate the contempt of court proceedings against superintendent jail Attock.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain got written the decision in open court and sought report from the superintendent Attock jail for not arranging telephonic talks of Imran Khan with his sons.
Counsel for PTI requested the court to adjourn the hearing till September 26.
The learned judge remarked judicial remand of chairman PTI is going to expire on September 26. I will talk to superintendent Attock Jail myself.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain said may be the matters are settled with Attock jail superintendent there.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 28.
