Pakistan can play an important role on UN platform, Munir Akram

ISLAMABAD (Online): Pakistan permanent representative to United Nations Munir Akram said that Pakistan can play an important role on United Nations (UN) platform.

The peace of South Asia is linked Kashmir issue. We want solution for Kashmir issue according to resolutions of United Nations (UN).

In a statement Munir Akram said that world is currently facing many serious challenges such as food insecurity due to wars, increase in global warming, global pandemics and recessions.

He said that United Nations platform can provide best solution to tackle all the challenges. Investment is very important for social development and improvement of economy.

He said that caretaker Prime Minister (PM) will address United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He has scheduled meetings with world leaders and various investment companies.

Pakistan’s Permanent representative to United Nations said that Pakistan is the country most affected by climate change. Share of Pakistan in carbon emissions is negligible.

He said that UN meeting can play an important role in achieving the goals of sustainable development.

Munir Akram said regarding Afghanistan that we want good relations with Afghanistan. The terrorist’s elements in Afghanistan that are disrupting the regional peace should be eradicated.
