PMD office & colony started water supply by WASA on orders of Ombudsman

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The WASA Quetta has started supply of water to the office and residential colony of Pakistan Meteorological Department here.

The water supply was started by WASA in light of the orders of Provincial Ombudsman Balochistan, Nazar Muhammad Baloch Advocate.

According to the spokesman of Provincial Ombudsman, the PMD’s Usman Ghani had submitted an application to the provincial Ombudsman. According to which, an agreement was signed between PMD and WASA under which the former would provide 10,000 square feet land to WASA in the premises of its office where WASA would install a tube well besides constructing a control room.

As per the agreement, it was decided WASA would ensure free supply of water to the office and colony of PMD. The PMD’s official complaint to the Provincial Ombudsman that WASA is not providing water  violating the agreement. Therefore, their complaint may be resolved in this regard, it was requested to the Ombudsman.

On this, the Director Investigation, Abdul Manan Achakzai issued notice to MD WASA and sought explanation from him.

Later, the issue was resolved and WASA started supply of water from the alternate tube well as the old one had been dried up.
