QUETTA (6AM Report): The caretaker Provincial Minister for Home, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Zubair Jamali has stated that the important of civil defence volunteers has been increased further in the present circumstnaces.
The caretaker Provincial Minister Home was visiting the Directorate of Civil Defence here on Tuesday.
During the visit, the Minister was briefed about the overall functioning and performance of the Civil defence.
He assured that every possible cooperation would be extended to make the civil defence directorate more effective.
He recalled that the civil defence was formed in Britain after the first world war. He said that the civil defence can’t be ignored anyway.
However, he stressed the need to take more steps to review the civil defence directorate afresh. He said that the civil defence force would be emerged as the emerging professional force in time to come.
The caretaker Minister appreciated the martyrs of civil defence including Shaheed Abdul Razzaq, who embraced martyrdom during the duty.
He on the occasion also emphasized that every citizen should attain training of civil defence in the present circumstances, and a contingent of volunteers can be prepared by imparting training of civil defence to the students.
In addition to this, the emergent situation can be tackled easily by ensuring offices of civil defence in all government institutions, he maintained.
