Govt. can’t provide jobs to thousands of unemployed youth, but create opportunities thru skills & training
QUETTA (6AM Report): The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has stated that it is clear that the government can’t provide government jobs to thousands of unemployed youngsters, however, it can surely create opportunities of livelihood for millions of people by conducting free Information technology and artificial intelligence courses for youth and ensuring investment and public-private partnership.
In this context, the students graduated from the universities can earn better livelihood in the IT sector after benefitting from the modern technology and learning modern skills.
The Governor was speaking to a delegation who called on him under leadership of Dean and Director of NUST Balochistan campus, Brigadier Dr. Waseem Khaliq here at the Governor House on Tuesday.
The Governor said that we have announced to conduct free course of IT/AI for the unemployed youth of the province.
In first phase of the programme, in all 10,000 youngsters would be learnt modern skills free of cost. In this regard, the Governor urged all responsible persons and IT experts to extend full cooperation and guidance to make the Governor’s IT initiative programme successful.
He clearly mentioned that we have to see the market value of whatever product we may prepare in future. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare course of action of learning skills and academic curricula keeping in view the present market demand, adding he stressed.
He also stressed the need to create partnership between academia and market at the national level according to our social needs as until and unless it’s done, we can’t enter the race of real development and construction.
