QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Muhammad Achakzai has appreciated performance of the Tech Valley for the digital literacy and improving opportunities of jobs in Balochistan.
He expressed the hope that the Government of Balochistan, Tech Valley and Google would continue partnership in future.
He particularly referred to the Google career certificates programme and digitalization of Information Department Balochistan and said that these are two important example of the resolve of Tech Valley for development of the province.
Jan Achakzai was speaking to the CEO of Google for Education and Google Work Space Partner, Tech Valley, Umar Farooq here on Wednesday.
Also present in the meeting were Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat and Director General Public Relations, Kamran Asad.
He appreciated the endeavours of Tech Valley and Google in the projects of increasing working capacity especially Google career certificates programme in the province.
He was impressed with the fact that Google career certificates programme is accessible to everyone. He said that this programme can play important role in helping to promote skills required for success in digital economy and empowering youth of the province.
Umar Farooq informed that Tech Valley is also working to digitalize the information department of Balochistan under a pilot programme besides the Google career certificates programme.
Later, they also inspected the DGPR Information Cell.
