QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki inaugurated the newly built Urology Block in the Balochistan Institute of Nephro-Urology Quetta (BINUQ) here on Friday.
Also present on the occasion were the caretaker Provincial Minister for Health, Dr. Amir Muhammad Khan Jogtezai, Secretary Health, Asfandyar Khan Kakar, Chief Executvie of BINUQ, Professor Dr. Karim Zarkoon besides other senior doctors, experts and staff of the BINUQ.
Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the functioning of BINUQ and noted with contentment that the international standard kidney transplant has been started at local level in Balochistan.
He said that 60 operations of kidney transplants have been conducted at BINUQ successfully.
The caretaker Chief Minister on the occasion announced to establish dialysis units in all districts of the province.
He said that the training of local technicians has been started at BINUQ to run the dialysis units at the district level.
Mir Ali Mardan Domki also referred to the commitment made by the President of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and former senior Minister Punjab, Aleem Khan and said that he has already made commitment to establish a modern dialysis unit in Quetta.
He said that we would also request him (Aleem Khan) for the dialysis units at the district level.
