BICHQ to be made exemplary center for treatment of children diseases, vows caretaker CM

QUETTA (6 AM Report):  The caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Domki has directed to the concerned authorities to expand the medical services of Balochistan Institute of Child Healthcare Quetta (BICHQ) for making it an exemplary institution of children diseases.

The Chief Minister was speaking on occasion of the surprise visit to BICHQ on Sunday.

He reviewed the medical treatment facilities available at the Institute.

Also present on the occasion were Secretary Health, Asfandyar Yar Kakar and Chief Executive Officer of BICHQ, Habibullah Babar besides other concerned.

It was informed to the Chief Minister that new CT scan machine has been purchased while the whole hospital has been solarized.

With this, the amount otherwise spent on account of the utility bills would be utilized for improving medical services at the institute.

Moreover, new block is also in last stages of completion costing Rs. 1.5 billion.

The work on new block would be completed by wend of October this year, it was informed further.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister directed to install the CT scan in the hospital immediately.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the pace of work of under construction block besides making the energy system solarized in the hospital.
