Domki directs to ensure timely completion of ongoing dev. projects of CPEC in Makran
GWADAR (6 AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of the ongoing development projects in Makran division including Gwadar.
The Chief Minister asserted that every possible steps are being taken for development of the fisheries industry.
He said that illegal trawling would not be allowed at the coast of Balochistan.
The Chief Minister was speaking on occasion of the briefing conducted by the Commissioner Makran, Saeed Ahmed Umrani at Gwadar on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the projects associated with it for economic development of the country are very important.
Mr. Domki also directed to ensure timely completion of the ongoing development projects of CPEC maintaining good quality of work.
He said that our government is serious in reaching benefits of the development of Gwadar to the common men.
Earlier, the Commissioner briefed the Chief Minister about the pace of work on ongoing development projects and administrative structure.
He informed that source of income of 70 percent people of Gwadar depends on the fishing while other 30 percent depend on other sectors and government jobs for livelihood.
He said that Gwadar is the focus of attention of the world because of 600 kilometer long coastal belt and unique strategic location.
He also told that new prospects and opportunities of development of the area are appearing in Gwadar and federal and provincial governments are taking extra ordinary steps for overall development of Gwadar.
Moreover, the Secretary Fisheries, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir briefed the Chief Minister about the progress of welfare projects of fisheries and industries sectors.
Similarly, the DG GDA Mujeebur Rehman Qambrani briefed about the details of ongoing development projects continued under supervision of GDA.
He informed that the hurdles have been removed in the way of development projects and journey of development of Gwadar as a modern city has been started.
