Caretaker PM highlighted Kashmir, Palestine disputes in his address to UNGA: Jalil Abbas Jilani
ISLAMABAD (INP): Caretaker Foreign Minister of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakande met world leaders during his visit to the United States and highlighted the disputes of Kashmir and Palestine in his address to the United Nations General Assembly.
Jalil Abbas Jilani addressing a press conference in Islamabad said that the caretaker prime minister delivered an important speech at the United Nations General Assembly session during his visit to America.
He said that Anwar Haq Kakar in his address to the United Nations General Assembly, highlighted the issue of Kashmir in a full way and reiterated Pakistan’s full support for the struggle of Kashmiris to achieve their right to self-determination and also exposed before the world the human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India.
Responding to a question regarding the killing of a Sikh leader in Canada, the caretaker foreign minister said that his killing was unfortunate. Pakistan, he added, has been saying for years that India is involved in such incidents, be it in Pakistan or South Asian countries. This incident justifies Pakistan’s position, India has been involved in such incidents not only in Pakistan but in all countries of South Asia for a long time.”
“We had also submitted a dossier to the international community in which the world was informed about Indian activities.” The fake mask that India had placed on its face has come off and India has been exposed to the world, he added.
The Caretaker Foreign Minister said that he was also very busy during his visit to New York. A coordination meeting, he said, was held with the Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in which the future action plan of the OIC was also discussed and a meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir was also held in which the foreign ministers of all member countries strongly supported the Kashmiri Muslims and strongly condemned the atrocities and human rights violations committed by India on the people of Kashmir.
