Baligh stresses for urgent measures to develop IT sector

ISLAMABAD (6 AM Report): Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman has said that there was a lot of scope for development in the field of information technology and urgent measures were needed to develop IT sector.

The Governor was speaking during his visit to Jazz Digital Data Park in Islamabad during which he was briefed on the new trends of IT in Pakistan.

Balighur Rehman said that this Digital Park was an IT platform for freelancers, firms, public and private institutions and was providing them with modern facilities. He said that development was not possible without acquiring expertise in the field of information technology.

He said that Pakistani youth was very talented and there was a need to teach modern IT skills to the young generation so that they can benefit from the opportunities available at the global level. He said that Pakistan was progressing in the field of IT, but we still have to go a long way to compete with the world.

Governor Punjab said that the IT company should provide its services to students, universities, and educational institutions in the field of IT at affordable rates while fulfilling its social responsibility.

On this occasion, Jazz Chief Business Officer Asif Aziz said that Jazz was ready to provide all kinds of support to advance the vision of IT.
