Areas of illegal Afghan refugees identified, states Commissioner 

QUETTA (6 AM Report):The Commissioner Quetta Division, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat has stated that the areas where Afghan refugees are living illegally have been identified.

He informed that some 200 Afghan refugees have also been arrested under the Foreign Act and cases registered against them duly.

This was informed by the Commissioner Quetta while addressing a hurriedly called press conference at his office here on Wednesday.

He said that due action has been started against the refugees living illegally in Quetta on directives of the government.

He also said that it has been decided to shift the terminals of passenger coaches. The initiative would help reduce the traffic pressure in the city, he added.

Moreover,,11 crush plants have been closed in Quetta.

Similarly, 310 illegal petrol pumps have also been closed in the city, Commissioner maintained.

While on the other hand, action is also continued against the hoarding of sugar and urea fertilizer.

In this regard, 2900 tons of sugar and 2700 tons of urea have been recovered and impounded, he added.
