QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Provincial Minister for Education, Dr. Qadir Baloch has stated that the interim government is eying deeply on the issues of education in the province. Our endeavours are continued to bring improvement in education sector from the day first.
This was stated by the Minister Education, Dr Qadir Baloch while speaking to a delegation of UNICEF, who called on him under leadership of its representative in Pakistan, Abdullah here on Monday.
During the course of meeting, the Minister was briefed about different ongoing projects of UNICEF in education sector in the province.
Speaking to the delegation, Minister Education applauded the efforts of UNICEF for bringing improvement in education sector in the province.
He said that the collaborative efforts of the provincial government and UNICEF helped resolve education related issues to great extent in the province.
According to report of UNICEF, there are 4,000 schools in the province which have no washrooms facility.
Similarly, 6,700 schools are operating with only one teacher. This poor state of education affairs are casting negative impacts.
The Minister Education said that UNICEF is an important donor agent, which is contributing a lot in the education sector.
The UNICEF is looking after 2,400 schools in the province, he noted.
The UNICEF representative on the occasion assured that more steps would be taken to bring further improvement in education sector by the UNICEF.
