Mir Ali Mardan Domki terms assassination of labourers as worst brutalism; pledges to take killers to task; assures early payment of financial compensation to heirs

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The bodies of six ill-fated labourers gunned down by unknown armed assailants in Turbat city were dispatched to Multan from Quetta on Sunday morning.
The coffins of slain labourers were sent to the native area, Multan by special helicopter of Balochistan government from Khalid Airbase.
The caretaker Chief Minister, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki along with the Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Flt. Lieutenant (Retd) Asad, Deputy Commissioner Kech, Hussain Jan Baloch and other high ups were present at the time of sending of bodies at the Khalid Airbase.
Earlier, bodies of slain labourers were brought to Quetta from Turbat by plane of the provincial government on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, while speaking to the heirs of labourers, Chief Minister expressed heartfelt condolence and sympathy to them and other bereaved family.
He said that every person in Balochistan is grieved over the tragic killing of labourers, and as such share grief and sorrow with the bereaved families of those killed in Turbat the other day.
He said that there’s no alternate and compensation of the human lives, however, the provincial government would ensure early payment of the compensation to the bereaved families of martyrs and injured labourers.
He on the occasion described the killings of labourers as extreme of brutalism, and adding he pledged to take the culprits involved in it to task at every cost.
Meanwhile, the DC Kech Hussain Baloch briefed the caretaker Chief Minister about the gory incident of killing of labourers in Turbat.
He told that the slain labourers had been working in Turbat for several years.
He also informed that the profiling of labourers working in Kech has been started, and their data would be collected in a week.
Later, the DC Kech also proceeded for Multan along with the bodies of slain labourers.
It may be mentioned here that six labourers were gunned down and two others injured by unknown armed men after they barged into a house in Turbat city where they were staying.
The armed assailants had fled from the scene after leaving the labourers in pool of blood.
The Chief Minister issued standing directives to the concerned authorities to make arrangements for dispatch of the bodies of slain workers and those injured in firing by special plane.
On his directives, the special plane of provincial government had reached Turbat on Saturday afternoon.
