Interim Balochistan cabinet strongly slams Turbat labourers killings; vows to take terrorists to task 

Cabinet chaired by Mir Ali Mardan Domki expresses concern over Palestine situation; urges UN to intervene immediately; approves formation of Information Commission under Right to Information Act; okays grant of Rs. 780 million for restoration of power to farmers

QUETTA (6 AM Report):  The interim cabinet of Balochistan has strongly condemned the incident of brutal killing of six labourers in Turbat city of Kech. The cabinet has pledged to take the terrorists involved in the brutalism to task at every cost.

Moreover, the cabinet also expressed grave concern over the situation of Palestine and showed solidarity with the people of Palestine against the Israel’s barbarism and urged the world community especially the United Nations to intervene in the Palestine issue immediately.

This and other details were shared by the caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai while addressing a hurriedly called press conference soon after the meeting of provincial cabinet here at the Chief Minister’s secretariat on Monday.

Sharing the details of decisions and other related matters discussed in the cabinet’s meeting, Jan Achakzai said that the cabinet met with the caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki in the chair.

He said that the cabinet strongly condemned the incident of terrorism took place in Turbat that claimed lives of six labourers on Saturday last.

He said that the government would take stern action against those involved in the terrorism incident.

He said that the terrorists involved in the brutalism would be take to task at every cost. No one would be spared in this terrorism act, he vowed.

Jan Achakzai said that the cabinet also expressed serious concern over the situation of Palestine and urged the international community including United Nations to intervene in it immediately.

He said that cabinet approved Rs. 78 crore for restoration of the electricity to the farmers in Balochistan.

He said that the amount would be released to the QESCO after restoration of the electricity to the farmers.

Referring the section 144 in Quetta city, the caretaker Minister Information said that the section has been enforced for everyone, and there’ no exception for anyone.

He said that it is decision of the caretaker government to launch crackdown against mafias. He said that implementation is being made on the decision of government in true letter and spirit, he maintained.

Jan Achakzai also informed that the interim cabinet has approved to form commission under the Right to Information Act. Every individual would have the right to access to information with formation of Information Commission, he added.

About the Wadh situation, Jan Achakzai said that the traffic has been restored on the Karachi-Quetta road at Wadh, and adding he believed that the situation would improve further with passage of time.
