Arrears of QESCO increase to Rs. 578 billion against defaulters in Balochistan 

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has announced that the arrears of the Company against the defaulters have reached up-to Rs. 578 billion in the province.

According to the QESCO spokesman, only the agriculture consumers have to pay Rs. 437 billion to QESCO.

The provincial government has to pay Rs. 48.63 billion on account of the agriculture subsidy.

Similarly, the federal government is required to pay Rs. 23 billion on account of the agriculture subsidy.

Moreover, the dues of Rs. 2.98 billion are payable against federal government departments operating in the province.

The QESCO said that there are arrears of Rs. 34.17 billion against the Balochistan government on account of the electricity utility bills.

According to him, Rs. 32.56 billion are outstanding against the domestic, commercial and industrial consumers in the province.
