QUETTA (6AM Report): The Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh has stated that the responsibilities of police force were increased manifold and as such the officers and jawans of the force have to bring more passion and motivation to perform their duties.
The Inspector General of Police was addressing the passing out parade of the 99th batch of the Police Training College (PTC) at its main premises here on Thursday.
The senior police officers were also present on the occasion. In all 919 officers and jawans completed their upper, intermediate and lower courses at the PTC.
Addressing the passing out, IGP said that police is a sacred profession through the officers and jawans can help the needy and weak segments of the society.
He said that the police officers and jawans have rendered sacrifices of their lives for protection of life and property of the masses in the past. The police personnel have proved them to be the solidified wall against the miscreants and those creating law and order problem in the society.
He urged the police force to take care of the self respect of the common men and human rights while discharging their professional duties.
He said that the high morals and positive attitude of police personnel would earn good name for the department.
The IGP exhorted the police officers and jawans to work harder and harder for more achievements in their professional life.
He commended the high standard of the graduates of the PTC and appreciated the efforts of Commandant of PTC in this regard.
He expressed the hope that those passed out would be helpful to bring more improvement in the policing system.
