Decision taken to cancel Nandipur, Guddu power plants privatization

ISLAMABD (online): Decision has been taken to annul privatization of Nandi Pur and Guddu power plants.

According to Privatization Commission sources proposal has been given to give power plants share to PSO to lower the circular debt of gas sector.

Sources said circular debt of gas sector will be curtailed by Rs 100 billion if shares of power plants are given to PSO.

Rs 100 billion are payable from Nandi pur and Guddu power plants to sui gas companies. The controlling stakes of Rs 100 billion of the both of the power plants will be given to PSO.
