CT CM inaugurates Quetta Safe City Project, hopes rate of crimes would decrease in provincial metropolis 

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Quetta Safe City Project has been inaugurated finally on Saturday.

The caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Domki formally inaugurated the Safe City Project at the Central Police Office.

The inauguration ceremony of the Safe City Project was attended by the Commander 12 Corps Lt. General Rahat Nasim Ahmed Khan, provincial Ministers, Mir Zubair Jamali, Prince Ahmed Ali and Shania Khan, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Zahid Saleem, Inspector General FC, North, Major General Chaudhary Ameer Ajmal, Inspector General of police, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Project Director Safe City Project, Tariq Bizenjo as well as other civil, police and military high ups.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Quetta is important city being the provincial capital.

He pointed out that the ratio of population has been increased in Quetta city rapidly during last one decade.

On the other hand, a large number of people migrated to Quetta because of the civic facilities. Under the given situation, the gradual increase was also witnessed in incidents of crimes. In order to prevent the situation, the Quetta Safe City Project was initiated in 2017.

However, this project remained suspended due to different reasons.

However, he mentioned that the Quetta Safe City Project has become operational since December last.

He noted with contentment that the crime rate has been reduced by around 20 per cent in the starting months, and adding he believed that the crime rate would be decreased further in future thanks to the Safe City Project.

He expressed the interim government’s resolve to make Quetta a safe and peaceful city.

He said that we would remain successful to make Quetta a safe and peaceful city.

The Chief Minister thanked all the concerned high ups on completion of the project and 12 Corps on better guidance in this regard.

He vowed that by the grace of Allah, the provincial government and Pak Army would continue mutual cooperation and steps for establishing sustainable peace in the province.

The caretaker Chief Minister and other high ups were also briefed about the Safe City Project and it’s different features.

It was stated that the Safe City Project is aimed at controlling crimes and other subversive activities in the metropolis.

Later, the Chief Minister gave away commemorative shields to the Corps Commander, Lt. General Rahat Naseem, caretaker Provincial Minister Mir Zubair Jamali, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Zahid Saleem, IGFC North Major General Chaudhary Ameer Ajmal Khan, IG police, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, Project Director of Safe City Project and other high ups.
