ISLAMABAD (Online): Government is all set to drop electricity bombshell on the people as all the preparations have been made to shift additional financial burden of Rs81.50 billion to electricity consumers.
Quarterly adjustment application for October 2023 has been filed in NEPRA.
The power distribution companies filed petition in NEPRA seeking hike in power tariff.
According to sources the quarterly adjustment will be applicable to consumers of K-Electric too as per government guidelines.
Request has been made for charging Rs 75. 14 billion under head of capacity charges.
It has been said in the application that Rs 10.82 billion have to be recovered under the head of losses.
NEPRA will hear the application on February 14.
