Domki directs: Rescue, relief activities & restoration of link roads & services be ensured in rain & snow hit areas immediately
QUETTA (6 AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has directed to the concerned authorities to start relief activities and restoration of the link roads and municipal services in the rain and snowfall hit areas of the province.
The caretaker Chief Minister has also directed to make the monitoring room of provincial disaster management Authority (PDMA) functioning round the clock.
In addition to this, he particularly directed to all the Commissioners to complete preparations for the emergent situation according to the weather conditions in all districts of their respective divisions.
He directed to the Administrator of Quetta Municipal Corporation to take prompt steps for sanitation and draining out the rain water from Quetta city.
Moreover, the caretaker Chief Minister also called for carrying out immediate operation for restoration of the link roads removing the snow from there particularly in Ziarat, Kan Mehtarzai, Kozak top and other areas.
Similarly, steps should be taken for shifting the passengers stranded on the Makran coastal highway, Sami Kor, Turbat and other affected roads to safer places, adding he directed further.
In thi regard, the Chief Minister asked the PDMA to start rescue operation at the earliest.
While the civic agencies should play their effective role cleanliness and for draining out the sewerage and rain water in the urban areas, Mr Domki directed to the Secretary Local Government.
