QUETTA (6AM Report): The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai has stated that the overall situation of security has remained satisfactory during the election campaign except few subversive
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the caretaker Minister Information said that the election campaigns were run in peaceful manner all over the province except few incidents of law and order.
While the election campaign is going to be concluded on Tuesday midnight as per the directions of Election Commission of Pakistan, the elaborate arrangements have been made for the elections and especially the polling day on February 8, Jan Achakzai maintained.
The Minister Information said that the peaceful environment would be ensured on the polling day so that the voters may use right of franchise freely.
He said that the local administration has given the authority to call Frontier Corps (FC) and other law enforcement agencies as the need arises on the polling day.
The Minister Information made it clear that no guidelines has been issued to suspend the internet service at the government level.
However, the administration can restrict the Internet from security point of view in their areas, he maintained.
Jan Achakzai paid tributes to the security jawans on performing their duties despite the tough situation.
