Mobile service suspended partially in different areas

ISLAMABAD (Online): Mobile service was suspended partially in different areas of the country including Islamabad due to security threat on the occasion of general election 2024.

According to sources the mobile service was suspended in different areas of Karachi, Lahore , Quetta and Peshawar.

The citizens had to face difficulties due to suspension of mobile service. In Multan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur and Abbottabad mobile service remained disrupted.

According to interior ministry spokesperson decision was taken to suspend mobile service temporarily. The recent terrorism incidents have claimed several precious lives. Security measures are must to maintain law and order situation and deal with the possible threats.

It is pertinent to mention here PTA had announced a day before that internet service will not be suspended in the country.

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja said if mobile service is opened then who will be responsible if any terror incident occurs.

He added the election management system will not be affected due to suspension of mobile service.
