Peaceful conducting of polls manifests better strategy of interim government,security agencies: Ali Mardan Domki
QUETTA (6AM Report): The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has expressed satisfaction over conducting general elections in peaceful manner in the province.
In an official statement issued here on Thursday, the caretaker Chief Minister said that the people of Balochistan showed deep interest in election of the parliamentary representatives through free and fair elections proving their collective political consciousness.
He said that no extraordinary incident was occurred during the polling process all over the province, which speaks high about the better strategy adopted by the interim provincial government and security institutions, he maintained.
He greeted the Pak army, Frontier Corps, police, Levies and other law enforcement agencies on holding the elections successfully and peacefully.
He also expressed satisfaction over that the people took wholehearted part in the polling process all over the province and they remained present in the premises of polling stations despite end of the polling process.
He said that all conspiracies of keeping the people of Balochistan away from the polling process by harassing them proved to be futile. Except few incidents, the overall polling process remained peaceful, the Chief Minister maintained.
He also said that certain subversive acts were foiled by the interim government and security agencies through effective strategy.
He said that no major terrorism incident was occurred in the province except two incidents took place in Killa Saifullah and Pishin districts.
He said that the national obligation of general elections was completed successfully by mobilizing all available resources.
In the end, while appreciating the role of Pak Army and FC in peaceful conducting of the general elections, the Chief Minister expressed best wishes for the Corps Commander Lt. General Rahat Nasim Ahmed Khan and IG FC North Balochistan.
