Crackdown continues against profiteering in Chaman, says Additional DC

CHAMAN (6AM Report): The Additional Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Arif Khan Kakar has categorically stated that no one would be allowed to violate the official price list during the month of Ramadanul Mubarak in Chaman.

He said that stern action is being taken against the profiteers and hoarders.

He said that several shops were sealed and many shopkeepers were arrested on the charges of profiteering in Chaman on directives of the Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Raja Athar Abbas.

The teams headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Arif Khan Kakar, Assistant Commissioner Sadar, Habibullah, Tehsildar Sadar, Abdul Razzaq Miani, SHO Levies and Police have been continuing inspection of different outlets including biscuit factories and bakery shops.

Many shops were arrested on charges of profiteering besides poor cleanliness and hygienic conditions there.

In addition to this, inspection of utility stores is also being done in the town to check the prices there.

It is being ensured by the administration to ensure availability and selling of the edibles and other items on official price list.
