QUETTA (6AM Report): The Secretary Health Department, Abdullah Khan has expressed anguish over the absence of medical staff and poor cleanliness situation in the Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital Quetta.
The Secretary Health was on surprise visit to the Hospital situated in Gulistan Town.
During the course of visit, the doctors, pharmacists and other medical staff was found absent from their duties.
While only five lady doctors, one pharmacist and three nurses were present on their duties.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary asserted that the responsibility of absentee medical staff rests with the Medical Superintendent of the hospital.
He also expressed displeasure over the non-existence of biometric system in the Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital.
He said that the non-presence of the medical staff and poor cleanliness shows weak administration of the Medical Superintendent.
He announced to take strict action against the absentee medical staff under BEDA Act.
He also announced to transfer all absentee medical staff to their home districts.
