Negligence on part of doctors intolerable; Govt committed to provide basic health & other facilities to masses: Acting Governor
Abdul Khaliq Achakzai stresses whatever issues being confronted in health sector must be resolved at the earliest
CHAMAN (By Sardar Khondai): The acting Governor Balochistan and Speaker Provincial Assembly, (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai visited the District Headquarter Hospital Chaman on Wednesday.
The Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Captain (Retd) Raja Athar Abbas and other high ups were also present.
The District Health Officer Chaman, Dr. Aimal Mandokhail and Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. Abdul Rasheed Nasar briefed the visiting acting Governor about the overall functioning and services of the hospital.
During the briefing, it was informed that hardships are being faced in the operation theatre due to the ongoing longtime power load shedding.
It was also informed that some 120 posts are lying vacant after upgradation of the DHQ Hospital, which is causing shortage of staff there.
He was informed that the new posts have been given to the Abdul Rehmanzai district Killa Abdullah. Similarly, the medicines have also been distributed among the two districts.
While speaking on the occasion, acting Governor said that negligence and carelessness would not be tolerated in duties.
He on the occasion expressed anger over allotment of the quarters allocated for the out of district districts to the local staff.
He also issued directives to advertise the vacant posts of night watchmen to meet their shortage in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the acting Governor visited the mother child health center established in the old female hospital. Speaking to the media persons, Abdul Khaliq Achakzai said that it is priority of the government to provide basic health and other facilities to the people.
He said that he has directed to the concerned high ups that there should be no hurdle in provision of better health facilities to the masses.
He said that whatever issues are being confronted in the health sector must be resolved at the earliest. He said that the government is committed to provide necessary relief to the masses in health sector.
