Govt allows import of used cars up to 2,000kms

ISLAMABAD (INP): The federal government has amended the Import Policy Order 2022 and granted permission for the importation of used cars with mileage up to 2,000 kilometers.

This decision marks a notable change from the previous regulation where only vehicles with mileage up to 500 kilometers were allowed for import.

The channel reported that under the new directive, a car with mileage up to 2,000 kilometers will now be considered as a new vehicle for import purposes, signaling a shift in import policy.

The Ministry of Commerce has amended the Import Policy Order 2022 to reflect this change, indicating a revision in the approach towards the importation of used cars.
