CM take strict notice of extraordinary delay in rehabilitation projects in 2022 flood hit districts of province 

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has expressed deep concern over the “extraordinary” delay in the projects of rehabilitation in the year 2022’s flood affected districts of the province.

The Chief Minister was presiding over meeting held to review the progress on rehabilitation projects in the districts affected in 2022, here at the CM’s secretariat on Tuesday.

The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Abdul Saboor Khan Kakar, Project Director flood rehabilitation project, Asfandyar Khan Kakar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Imran Zarkoon, Special Secretary, Asfandyar Baloch, spokesman of provincial government, Shahid Rind and other concerned high ups were in attendance at the meeting.

The Project Director of flood rehabilitation projects, Asfandyar Kakar briefed the meeting about the progress on the projects being executed in the flood hit areas of the province.

While expressing deep concern over delay in the execution of rehabilitation projects, the Chief Minister regretfully pointed out that unnecessary delay was done in execution of the rehabilitation projects in flood hit areas.

He noted with concern that the flood affected people are still leading miserable life in the affected areas.

He asserted that there’s no more room in further delay in the projects of rehabilitation.

He directed the concerned authorities to include the Provincial Disaster Management Authority in consultation regarding implementation on the projects.

He also directed the Project Director to personally monitor the projects so as to complete them without any further delay.
