Leaves of all officers, staff cancelled in view of heavy rain & flood situation
CM visits pays surprise visit to PDMA:
QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti paid surprise visit to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) here on Saturday night.
During the surprise visit, the Chief Minister was briefed by the PDMA high ups about the relief activities continued in different rain and flood affected areas of the province.
The spokesman of PDMA said that the leaves of all officers and staff of the Authority have been cancelled on directives of the Chief Minister.
He informed that the relief activities are continued in different areas affected due to the heavy rains.
He said that the flood situation is being faced in Manzaki area of Pishin. The people are being rescued and shifted from Manzaki area, it was informed.
Moreover, heavy machinery and staff is present in the affected area.
Similarly, the flood water is passing from the Hanna-Urak area where heavy machinery is engaged to drain out the rain water.
The rain water was also entered in the residential area of Nawan Killi from where the affected dwellers have been rescued, the spokesman PDMA informed further.
He said that we are in contact with the commissioners and deputy Commissioners of all areas in view of the heavy rains and flood situation.
