QUETTA (6AM Report): The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that reforms are being brought in different departments of the province. He said that it is our priority to bring reforms so as to ensure good governance in the departments and public affairs.

The Chief Minister said that we are also aiming to end corruption in the province. He said that wholehearted steps would be taken to end corruption in the province and transparency would be ensured in all sectors.

Similarly, steps are also being taken to improve law and order situation in the province.

He asserted that the provincial government has to lead for maintaining law and order in the province.

He stressed that we have to move ahead in the manner that the province may progress and things are improved.

The Chief Minister expressed concern about increasing the Non-development budget in the province.

If there remained same situation then the next government would not have funds for development activities in the province, he added.

The Chief Minister was addressing maiden meeting of the provincial cabinet soon after oath taking here at the Chief Minister secretariat on Friday afternoon.

All the ministers and advisors expressed confidence on the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti.

They also expressed the resolve to take ahead the vision of Chief Minister for development and establishing good governance in the province.

Addressing the cabinet, Chief Minister presented the agenda of good governance and development of the province in the first meeting of provincial cabinet.

He said that around 60 reforms have been proposed for improving governance in the province.

He said that the reforms process would be given after consultation from the cabinet.

He said that heavy responsibility rests with the cabinet to put the province on path of improvement.

Referring the law and order, the Chief Minister said that the insurgency is not limited to the army and state, rather it is fight of all of us.

He said that we have to work together for well-being of the common men.

He said that we would ensure implementation on the targets gradually settling them.

He on the occasion pledged to work for bright future of the coming generations with good intention.

He said that we would also set new example of good governance by setting the right direction in province.

The Chief Minister asserted that no job would be sold out in the province. No compromise would be made on merit, he added.

He exhorted the provincial ministers to keep strict vigil on the affairs of their departments being Incharge of their respective departments.

He announced that the KPI would be established for reviewing performance of all departments.

Measures would be taken for bringing more improvement after reviewing performance of the departments, he added.
