CM inaugurates project of construction of homes: We are going to build 1,000 earthquake proof houses for flood affectees in collaboration with UNDP

QUETTA (6AM Report): The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti inaugurated the UNDP-assisted project of construction of houses built for the flood affected people in the province.

Speaking after the inauguration ceremony of the project here at the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that we are going to build 1,000 earthquake proof houses for the flood affectees in collaboration with UNDP.

He said that the houses to be built under the project would survive in the earthquake of 7.5 intensity.

The Chief Minister announced that this model would be introduced in Ziarat where more earthquakes occur.

He asserted that no compromise would be made on rights of the province at all.

He said that we would speak to the federation on resolvable issues.

He said that we believe in resolving the issues in polite manner.

He announced that the project is being started for rehabilitation of those affected due to floods in 2022. The Project Director of the Project has been appointed, Mir Sarfraz Bugti added.
