Unemployment can be brought down by making technical, vocational institutions functional at provincial level: Governor

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that the importance of skills is equally increasing along with education in the ever changing world.

Our youth can’t benefit from the modern science and technology well without learning modern skills.

The Governor said that unemployment can be brought down by making the technical and vocational institutions functional at the provincial level.

The Governor was speaking to different delegations and personalities who called on him here at the Governor’s House on Thursday.

Those who met were included former Vice Chancellors of different universities Brigadier (Retd) Agha Ahmed Gul, Engineer Ahmed Farooq Bazai, former Provincial Ministers Sultan Tareen and Mir Umar Jamali, former Members of provincial assembly, Akhtar Hussain Langove and Ahmed Nawaz Baloch, Abdul Mateen Akhunzada, Mir Imran Jatak and Naseeb Kakar Advocate.

The Governor said that the Programme of Prime Minister about imparting skills to the new generation is excellent. He stressed the need to benefit from the programme.

Besides, there are many technical and vocational institutions at the provincial level, and the unemployment can be brought down by making these institutions fully functional, he added.

He said that technology happens to be the basis of economic and social development. He said that new avenues of development can be determined after getting acquainted about the modern technology.
