Ministry decides not to issue passport to Pakistanis taking refuge in other countries

ISLAMABAD (Online): Interior ministry has decided not to issue passport to Pakistanis taking refuge in other countries.

Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken this decision in the perspective of national sovereignty and security.

Interior minister has directed his ministry to take steps in this regard.

The interior ministry in pursuance of directives of interior minister has issued letter to foreign ministry and other concerned authorities.

As per sources it has been said in the letter that no passport will be issued to such Pakistanis who take refuge in any other country on any basis. Not only passports of such Pakistanis will be revoked but also the passports held by them already will not be renewed.
