QUETTA (PR): The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) has proudly been included in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, recognizing it among the world’s top 1,201-1,500 universities. This announcement was made by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Hafeez, who expressed immense pride in this significant achievement.

Dr. Hafeez stated, “It is a moment of great joy for us that BUITEMS is the only university in Balochistan to have attained this global honor. This recognition reflects not only our hard work but also the tireless efforts of our faculty, staff, and students.” He added that in 2024, BUITEMS was also ranked among the top 1,001-1,500 universities in the SDG Impact Rankings by Times Higher Education, a distinction earned by only a few universities in Pakistan.

“This success demonstrates the quality of our research, global relevance, and our ongoing commitment to educational excellence,” Dr. Hafeez continued. “These results hold even greater significance as we celebrate BUITEMS’ 22nd anniversary, showcasing our institution’s commitment to high-quality education, research, and international partnerships.”

Looking ahead, Dr. Hafeez shared the university’s ambition to be ranked among the world’s top 600 universities. He emphasized the need to enhance teaching standards, conduct effective research, publish in esteemed journals, and actively engage in community services to achieve this goal.

“BUITEMS’ global success has not only created a new history for Balochistan but for all of Pakistan, proving that quality education and research can elevate us to international recognition,” he concluded.
