KHUZDAR (6 AM Report) – Commissioner of the Kalat Division, Muhammad Naeem Khan Bazi, said that drug addiction is a curse that must be eradicated from society through administrative actions and by raising awareness among youth about its harmful effects.has announced plans to implement robust measures in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and other relevant agencies to combat drug abuse.
He announced that seminars will soon be held in all educational institutions as part of an awareness campaign aimed at educating young people about the dangers of drug use. The meeting was attended by key officials, including Brigadier Adnan Danish, Commander of ANF Balochistan, Assistant Director Jibran Yousafzai, Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti, SSP Khuzdar Abdul Aziz Jhakarani, and Superintendent of the Commissioner’s Office Asad Salam.
During the meeting, various proposals were discussed, including the crackdown on drug dealers, the effort to keep educational institutions drug-free, and discouraging the cultivation of opium and poppy by organized mafias. Commissioner Bazi affirmed that the district administration, along with the Levies and police forces, is committed to eliminating drugs. He highlighted several significant operations that have led to the arrest of drug traffickers and conducted numerous sessions to educate students about the dangers of narcotics.
He noted the proactive role of the ANF in Khuzdar and other districts within the division, emphasizing their joint efforts to prevent drug trafficking and destroy opium and poppy crops. The meeting concluded with the establishment of a unified strategy to tackle drug smuggling and dismantle the networks involved in it, paving the way for a healthier, drug-free society.
