SC leads meeting to enhance efficiency in govt departments

QUETTA (6 AM Report) . Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan said that “It is the people’s right that the provincial government addresses their problems and guarantees the provision of basic facilities.”

The Chief Secretary remarked that field officers who conduct visits and submit reports should ensure that their departments address the identified issues promptly.

He instructed that attendance of officers in district offices be strictly monitored. While acknowledging improvements in attendance in provincial offices, he emphasized the need for further enhancements. The Chief Secretary warned that laziness and lack of interest in duty would not be tolerated. He also directed that the process for auctioning old vehicles (which have completed their service life) be initiated promptly.

A meeting of the Secretaries Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, on Wednesday. The agenda included discussions on the file tracking system, IPMS, organization management module, attendance of officers from various departments in district offices, and other significant matters.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Development Hafiz Abdul Basit, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shahab Ali Shah, Chairman CMIT Abdul Saboor Kakr, Senior MBR Qambar Dashti, and all other secretaries.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need for all secretaries to prioritize the immediate resolution of complaints registered by the public on the file tracking system and the Pakistan Citizen Portal. He urged the quick resolution of pending and overdue cases.
