Comprehensive reforms being brought in health sector: Kakar

Provincial Minister Health calls for strong and effective think tank to suggest ways for improvement

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Provincial Minister for Health, Bakht Muhammad Kakar has stated that the government is determined to introduce comprehensive reforms in education sector as per the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

He said that this is era of artificial intelligence, modern medical researches and facilities and we have to make our health sector modern according to the present era’s requirements.

Especially we need to benefit from the modern technology and research to bring improvement in the neurology sector.

The Minister Health was addressing the 24th International Neurology Update Conference here the other day.

The eminent neurologists from all over the country participated in the conference.

The Minister Health stressed that we need a strong and effective think tank which may viable suggestions for improving the health sector.

This think tank would find the solution to the health issues as well as improve the treatment facilities through modern technology and prepare the health sector for new challenges, he maintained.

He said that the provincial government would ensure provision of standard health facilities to the people mobilizing every possible resources.

Bakht Muhammad Kakar stressed that we want to lay foundation of such system which may develop this sector as self sufficient and modern.

He also mentioned that we are going to inaugurate the cardiac vascular diseases hospital in Quetta soon.

In addition to this, we are continuously working on the primary and secondary healthcare so as to ensure provision of basic and modern healthcare facilities. He, however, stressed the need to strive together for improving healthcare sector.
