Balochistan’s two districts can meet needs of millions of sacrificial animals of KSA through their own resources: Governor

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stressed the need to establish the veterinary hospitals in Musakhail and take concrete steps for giving access to the local livestock breeders and farmers to the national and international markets.
The Governor said that Balochistan is the land of high breed animals as well as the birds and grass fields. He said that the livestock and fisheries sectors can be put on modern lines and develop the same as profitable business.
He said that our only two districts can meet the needs of millions of sacrificial animals in Saudi Arabia through their own resources.
The Governor was speaking to the delegation from Musakhail district who called on him here at the Governor House on Wednesday.
The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Nazeer Musakhail led the delegation.
The Governor said that Balochistan is a very fertile region with regard to cattles breeding, besides it has vast grazing fields and conducive climate.
This province can meet the requirements of meat and milk of the whole country, he mentioned adding that in this regard, District Musakhail is the very big center of livestock.
He stressed that there is a need to set up animals hospital in Musakhail for providing quality veterinary care.
He also said that there are more prospects of public-private partnership for making investment in the livestock sector.
He on the occasion particularly mentioned that millions of animals are required for the pilgrims on occasion of the Hajj every year in Saudi Arabia. Our two districts can meet this very requirement of the sacrificial animals, he added.
Meanwhile, the members of delegation apprised the Governor about the issues being faced by the people of area. They regretfully pointed out that we are deprived of the basic amenities of life in modern era even.
They also sought role of Governor for completion of the development projects already approved by the federal government.
The Governor gave patient hearing to the issues as raised by the members of delegation.
