Achakzai criticizes; Govt, security institutions for their failure to ensure peace and stability in the country
CHAMAN (By Sardar Khondai) : The provincial president of the Awami National Party (ANP), Asghar Khan Achakzai, has strongly criticized the government and state security institutions for their failure to ensure peace and stability in the country. Addressing a district council meeting at Shaheed House, Murda Kariz, Chaman, Achakzai emphasized that the Pashtun Qaumi Tehreek remains active and well-organized due to the sacrifices of its martyrs.
He paid tribute to Shaheed Khan Jilani Khan Achakzai and Shaheed Asad Khan Achakzai, stating that while they sacrificed their lives for the dignity of the Pashtun cause, they never compromised on Pashtunwali and Afghan values. He lamented the deteriorating law and order situation and highlighted the economic and social crises caused by the closure of trade along the Durand Line, which he said is pushing youth towards drug addiction.
The continued disappearance of young student Musawar Khan Kakar is, he claimed, a glaring failure of government and security agencies.
Achakzai announced that a grand public gathering will be held on November 22 in Chaman to honor the martyrs of the nation and the martyrs of Parlat. He called upon Pashtun elders, scholars, youth, and civil society to actively participate in the event, stating that without an organized and vibrant movement, fulfilling the aspirations of the martyrs and leaders is impossible.
The meeting, chaired by Chaman District President Abdul Khaliq Haqmal, also featured speeches by ANP Provincial General Secretary Mabat Kaka, Provincial Vice President Jamaluddin Rashtia, Provincial Spokesperson Wali Dad Miani, Cultural Secretary Hazrat Ali Achakzai, and District General Secretary Samiullah Achakzai.
The speakers stressed the importance of educating the younger generation about the sacrifices of the martyrs and the relentless struggle of Pashtun leaders. They also expressed grave concern over worsening security in Chaman, economic strangulation due to trade restrictions, and retaliatory actions by the administration allegedly under government directives.
The November 22 gathering will commemorate the 14th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Khan Jilani Khan Achakzai, the 4th anniversary of Shaheed Asad Khan Achakzai, and the martyrs of Parlat. Leaders urged all members and units to intensify outreach efforts to ensure massive participation from the Pashtun populace. The rally will commence at 9 AM and serve as a platform to unite and address the challenges faced by the community.
