QUETTA (6 AM Report): Amid severe smog affecting cities across Punjab and other provinces, Quetta has emerged as the cleanest city in Pakistan with the best Air Quality Index (AQI). According to the Environmental Protection Committee Balochistan, Quetta’s AQI was recorded at 31 micrograms, marking it as the lowest and healthiest air quality in the country.
Technical Director of the Environmental Protection Committee, Engineer Muhammad Khan Utmankhel, stated that Quetta’s air quality remains consistently excellent. “For the past two days, Quetta has maintained the lowest AQI in the country at 31 micrograms, reflecting its status as the cleanest city in Pakistan,” he added.
The exceptional air quality in Quetta highlights the city’s effective environmental management and stands in stark contrast to the alarming pollution levels experienced in other major urban centers.
